DPS Group is pleased to announce a significant business win today, with a major power sector contract secured.
News of a significant business win for DPS Group was announced today.
DPS Group will conduct a major Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Hydraulics upgrade for a worldwide automation systems provider at one of the UK’s largest power stations.
A team of 30 staff will be on site for the duration of the project, including electrical/instrument technicians, systems integrators and commissioning engineers.
The infrastructure for the project is now underway installing thousands of meters of profibus and fibre optic cabling. New PLC cabinets and hardware have also arrived on site this week.
“It’s really pleasing to see us continue to be trusted to deliver ever expanding work in the power sector, creating jobs as we do so, and delivering successful projects,” said DPS Group director Alan Rowe
“The power station will be shut down for installation in August, so right now we’re at the preparatory stage.
“Everyone is working hard and efficiently ahead of that milestone, to ensure that once again, we deliver this project for our client safely and on time.”
